Our food was cold. Ice cream was good but the waitress had a defeated attitude. Not like she was having a bad night, more like she wanted to hang herself. We barely saw her and its not that big of a place. I would have sent my food back, but after waiting 10 minutes I decided to just eat it and pretend it was left overs and I lived in a sketchy half way house surrounded by shady people. I definitely won't be coming back here. I have plenty of waitresses around here that will serve me cold food with a better attitude

My sister and I went into Friendlys after shopping all morning. The restaurant is cute with the decor and color- I liked it. Unfortunately, there was a foul odor in our area. It smelled funky- maybe dirty dishcloth odor ? I was not sure. The waitress was nice and attentive. They were out of tomatoes ( stop and shop in the same lot) but they let us substitute a different salad than the one listed on 2 for $20. Not a bad experience other than the strange odor.

Let me start out by saying that my family LOVES Friendly's. The kids beg to go there. The coupons/discounts are always rolling in, giving me reason to go. I love their promotions where you get the free happy ending. The burgers are actually pretty tasty. The ice cream isn't great, but it's okay. What I absolutely HATE about this location specifically, is that the service has been consistently terrible. Waits can be excessive when you have a family of 5+ unless you want to cram into a booth where you don't really fit. Service is slooooooow.... from the amount of time it takes to place your order, receive your drinks, receive your food, drink refills (if you are lucky)... I mean, it just drags. The service in Swansea in slow too, but nothing like Fall River. Would I eat there again? Of course. But if I have the time to drive out to Swansea or Seekonk instead, I definitely would.

Worst friendlys ever, so many moms on welfare bringing there 10 kids here in order to bug everyone around them and scream at the top of there lungs. As the moms sit there doing nothing with there iPhone 6 plus's and Michael K bags. Wait forgot to mention my waitress is on crack.....bye Felicia

Been going here a long time it's hit or miss but last time I went with my wife and 9 yr old I was seated next to access to the kitchen we were one of 3 tables occupied , my waitress made eye contact with us everytime she went in or out the back and a half hour later when people were seated across from us she ran to them to take their drink order ..... She still hasn't taken ours , we left and have not returned I work to hard to be treated like a second rate citizen and neither does my family , I look forward to what replaces it when it closes like all the rest slowly are .

The desserts here are simply to die for and the remodeled facility looks amazing on the inside the fish and chips are better than some seafood places!

Worst friendly's on the south coast. Unfortunately the only one in Fall River . Every single time I order take out its wrong ( usually the opposite of what I ask for). And it's always while I'm at work and can't do anything about it. I make small simple orders and they ignore anything I say and just make me whatever they want, the main problem is I'm diabetic and can't eat certain things. I would not want to work there myself so I understand why everyone that works there is miserable but if you only have one job to do then what's the problem. every time I tip them better then most thinking this is gonna be the time they get it right and every time I'm disappointed

If you're coming here for lunch or dinner, you might want to rethink your choice. The food has no flavor with slow service. The ice cream is tops, so have dinner somewhere else and come here for dessert.

My boyfriend (M) and I went here last week after shopping around Savers for a while out of boredom. We were seated right away and the hostess let us know about a special menu item. The waitress came over soon and took our drink orders, then gave us some time to look over the menu. I got a grilled chicken sandwich and M got his usual...the BBQ chicken supermelt. We were more looking forward to the ice cream, because M had been craving cookie dough all day. Waiting for our food was fun because there was plenty of people watching. M just kept saying "this place is so ghetto". People came in and weren't as lucky as us...whoever was supposed to be hostessing wasn't doing their job and their ended up being a line all the way to the door of people waiting to be seated. We also had the joy of being seated in the booth right next to the kitchen, so we got to hear the workers complaining about their coworkers and job. So then the food came...the chicken sandwich was ok...decent flavor and the chicken wasn't dry, but the veggies were slimy. Yuck. I ate about half of it and left the rest. M loved his supermelt as usual. Finally the waitress came to take our dessert order....and they were all out of cookie dough ice cream. What kind of Friendly's runs out of cookie dough ice cream!? It's one of the most popular flavors! So then we tried to get butter crunch ice cream...nope, they were out of that. Pistachio? They're out of that too. We ended up ordering a scoop of cookies and cream and a scoop of peanut butter with hot fudge and it was okay, but M was so disappointed they didn't have cookie dough! First world problems... As far as restaurants go, it's not so great but as far as Friendly's restaurants go, it's on the lower end of typical. We prefer the Seekonk location.

This is a really bad Friendly's. Slow service, cold food and oblivious wait staff. Every time I come it's at night, so maybe daytime staff is a little better. There is however, one girl at the take-out ice-cream counter who does a damn good job. Tonight we got a waffle cone of Buttercrunch with caramel and not only did she put the caramel on top but she drizzled it inside the cone too. Damn delicious.

Today my family and I ate here. The booth was pretty crammed for 3 of us plus a toddler. We ordered some of the kids meals for the kids and a burger and steak for the adults. The burger was cooked great, and the kids didn't complain either. The steak, however, was really tough to chew. Steak is what I typically get whenever I go to a restaurant, and this has been the most dry, awful steak I've ever had. It took a while for the host to seat us, but our waitress was very friendly, courteous, and prompt. She did miss the opportunity to refill, though, when bringing our meals. Regardless, these things aren't really what make me give this place 2 stars. On our seating, there were dividers in between us and the next row of booths. Unfortunately, this was the home of four flies. Yes, four. Not fruit flies, either... big suckers! I couldn't believe it, and that none of the waitresses who walked by ever bothered to swat them or apologize for them, even! I even said rather loudly a few times, to my toddler, "Wow! You see the flies? Yeah, flies! Oooo!" in hopes that they would take notice towards it, but to no avail. Of course, then once the flies began to move and fly around I heard nothing but screaming out of my child's mouth for about a minute. That blood-turning scream, too. Yeesh. I have eaten here about 3 or 4 times and the service has always been great (in the morning.) Today, the first time I attended an afternoon service, not so much. The flies definitely did it for me, and make me not want to return. If these things are acceptable in the DINING area, who knows what is acceptable in the kitchen? I certainly don't want to know or find out.

The food was completely cold. Everytime I visit any Friendly's in the area it takes quite some time to get the food, busy or not. The waitstaff seems consistently incompetent.

  • Jenn T.

Now, I have ALWAYS been a Friendly's fan - and still am, but I have to put this out there: sauce on a sundae is NOT an additional topping!!! The whole concept of a sundae is ice cream with sauce, whipped cream and a cherry or nuts on top. They try to say that sauce counts as a topping to add (like the candy or additional sauces) - NOT TRUE! If it has no sauce - it is just ICE CREAM!! Fight this cause with me! Stand up for your rights! :) *I have to say that the waitress that served me was great , funny and helpful - I just believe that they need to change this on the menu to reflect a true sundae experience. Can I get a witness?! **Also, this establishment didn't provide a coupon option for the free ice cream you get when you order a particular menu item (and you're too full to eat it)...and to top it off (nice pun!) they did not have customer satisfaction surveys to fill out after your dining experience (hence, why I'm writing this review on Yelp!) Otherwise - I love the place! Tasty crispy chicken wrap! :)
